Target

IntroductionAutophagy is an intracellular degradation system that encapsulates cytoplasmic components in autophagosomes and delivers them to lysosomes. Autophagy in yeast requires a protein-binding system consisting of Apg12 covalently bound to lysine 149 of Apg5 at the carboxy-terminal glycine. Apg7 is a protein-activating enzyme similar to the E1 family of ubiquitin-activating enzymes. Apg7 is required for Apg12-Apg5 conjugation to occur and is essential for normal cytoplasmic to vacuolar targeting, autophagy and peroxisomal degradation pathways. Aut7 expression is induced by nitrogen starvation and is required for cytoplasmic vacuolar targeting (Cvt) and autophagy.
Product OverviewMOFY-0922-FY13 is a mouse antibody against Aut7. It can be used for Aut7 detection in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence, ELISA.
