Target

IntroductionFibrillin is part of the small subunit processing complex and is involved in the processing of pre-18S ribosomal RNA. Nop1p is a yeast homolog of fibrillin. Fibrillarin/Nop1p is unusually conserved, so yeast and human proteins are 67% identical, and human proteins can functionally replace yeast proteins. This means that an appropriate cross-reactive antibody against Nop1p/fibrillarin (such as this antibody) can be used to reveal nucleoli and study fibrillarin/Nop1p in all eukaryotes and archaea tested so far. This antibody is being widely used as a convenient marker for nucleoli in many species.
Product OverviewThis product is a mouse antibody against the FBRL. It can be used for FBRL detection in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot.
