Target

IntroductionGolgi autoantigen; may be involved in maintaining cis-Golgi structure. The Golgi apparatus is involved in the glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway and consists of a series of stacked pools (flat membrane vesicles). The interaction between the Golgi and microtubules is thought to be important for the reorganization of the Golgi after fragmentation during mitosis. This gene encodes a Golgin protein, a family of proteins that localize to the Golgi apparatus.
