Target
Introduction | N6-methyladenosine (m6A)) is an RNA modification at the N-6 position of adenosine. It has been found that this modification is abundant in the 3'UTR and stop codons of mammalian mRNA. m6A is associated with miRNA binding sites, indicating a potential role in epigenetic gene regulation. FTO and ALKBH are 6-methyladenosine demethylases, and the polyprotein complex containing METTL3 functions as a methyltransferase. Recent research results indicate that m6A also exists on metazoan DNA, indicating that this modification also has a true epigenetic effect in the DNA environment. |
