Target

IntroductionThe double-stranded RNA binding protein Staufen homolog 1 is a protein encoded by the STAU1 gene in humans. Staufen is a member of the double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) binding protein family and is involved in the transport and/or localization of mRNA to different subcellular compartments and/or organelles. These proteins are characterized by the presence of multiple dsRNA binding domains, which are necessary to bind RNA with double-stranded secondary structure. The human homologue of human staufen encoded by STAU also contains a microtubule binding domain similar to microtubule-associated protein 1B and binds to tubulin. It has been shown that the STAU gene product binds to the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) in the cytoplasm, which means that the protein is transported to the mRNA of the RER (translation site) through the microtubule network.
Product OverviewMouse Anti-Zebrafish stau1 Antibody is a mouse antibody against stau1. It can be used for stau1 detection in Western Blot, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay.
