Target

IntroductionIt acts both as a biotin-[acetyl-CoA-carboxylase] ligase and as a biotin operon repressor. In the presence of ATP, BirA activates biotin to form a BirA-biotin-5'-adenosine (BirA-bio-5'-AMP or holoBirA) complex. HoloBirA can transfer the biotin part to the biotin carboxyl carrier protein (BCCP) subunit of acetyl-CoA carboxylase, and can also bind to the biotin manipulation site and inhibit the transcription of the operon.
Product OverviewMouse Anti-Yeast BirA (clone 6C4C7) Antibody (MO-NAB-00146W) is a Mouse antibody against the epitope of the BirA. It can be used for BirA detection in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence.
