Abh1 protein

ABH1 is a component of the cap-binding complex (CBC), which co-transcribes and binds to the 5'-cap of pre-mRNA and participates in various processes, such as pre-mRNA splicing and RNA-mediated gene silencing (RNAi). miRNA). The CBC complex is involved in miRNA-mediated RNA interference and is necessary for primary miRNA processing. In the CBC complex, ABH1/CBP80 does not directly bind to the capped RNA (m7GpppG capped RNA), but it needs to stabilize the movement of the N-terminal loop of CBP20 and combine CBC with the cap structure. ABH1 is involved in flowering regulation, possibly by regulating the pre-mRNA splicing of FLC gene. ABH1 acts as a negative regulator of abscisic acid signaling in guard cells.
