Mediator Complex Subunit 25
The roles of PFT1/MED25 in JA signaling was first identified in a genome-wide analysis of Arabidopsis TFs as a putative TF responsive to the fungal pathogen Alternaria brassicicola and methyl JA. The Arabidopsis pft1/med25 mutant shows attenuated expression of JA responsive defense genes and altered resistance to necrotrophic pathogens, suggesting that MED25 controls an essential point within the JA pathway.
