Histone H2A.Z
Pht1 is the pombe homolog of histone H2AZ and is involved in transcriptional regulation and chromosome structure. It also involves inhibiting the accumulation of antisense transcripts through interactions with RNAi mechanisms and heterochromatin proteins.
