DescriptionJM109 Chemical competitive cells
JM109 strain is derived from E.coli K strain and is an ideal strain for extracting high-quality DNA. The mutation of recA1 and endA1 is beneficial to the stability of cloned DNA and the extraction of high-purity plasmid DNA. Carry the hsdR17 genotype background so that the heterologous DNA is not degraded by the endogenous nuclease system. The presence of laqI qZΔM15 allows JM109 to be used for clone construction, blue-white screening experiments.
Gene TypesendA1 recA1 gyrA96 thi-1 hsdR17 (rk-,mk+) relA1 supE44 D (lac-proAB) [F'traD36 proAB laqI qZΔM15]
Size100 µL/vial
QC resultTransformation efficiency of pUC19 plasmid detection:> 1×108 cfu/μg DNA
Note1. Competent cells should be slowly thawed in ice, and the target DNA should be added within 8 minutes of inserting into ice. Do not keep in ice for too long, as long-term storage will reduce the transformation efficiency.
2. Be gentle when mixing plasmids or ligation products.
3. Transforming high concentrations of plasmids or high-efficiency ligation products can correspondingly reduce the amount of bacteria that are ultimately used for plating.
