DescriptionThe RP4-2 plasmid was integrated into the chromosome of the S17-1 λpir strain, which could carry part of the chromosomal DNA to be transferred between conjugative strains. S17-1 λpir strain lacks endonuclease (endA1), which improves the yield and quality of plasmid DNA; at the same time, it is deficient in recombinase (recA1), which reduces the probability of homologous recombination of inserted fragments and ensures the stability of inserted DNA.
Gene TypesRP4-2 (Km::Tn7,Tc::Mu-1), pro-82, LAMpir, recA1, endA1, thiE1, hsdR17, creC510
Size100 µL/vial
QC resultTransformation efficiency of pUC19 plasmid detection:> 1×108 cfu/μg DNA
Note1. Competent cells should be slowly thawed in ice. The target DNA should be added within 8 minutes of inserting into ice. Do not keep in ice for too long, as long-term storage will reduce the transformation efficiency.
2. Transforming high concentrations of plasmids or high-efficiency ligation products can correspondingly reduce the amount of bacteria that will be used for plating.
