Description | The Turbo strain is an extremely fast growing strain of E. coli. Cloning can be seen on the plate for 6.5 hours, and the plasmid can be extracted by shaking the bacteria in the nutrient solution for 4-6 hours, and the endonuclease (endA) is deleted, which improves the yield and quality of plasmid DNA; the Turbo strain can strictly control the expression of laclq and can clone the toxicity Gene; fhuA2 mutation confers Turbo strain resistance to phage T1; the presence of lacZΔM15 makes Turbo useful for blue and white spot screening. |
Gene Types | F' proA+B+ lacIqΔlacZM15 / fhuA2 Δ (lac-proAB) glnV galK16 galE15 R (zgb-210::Tn10) TetS endA1 thi-1 Δ (hsdS-mcrB)5 |
Size | 100 µL/vial |
QC result | Transformation efficiency of pUC19 plasmid detection:> 5×108 cfu/μg DNA |
Note | 1. Competent cells should be slowly thawed in ice. The target DNA should be added within 8 minutes of inserting into ice. Do not keep in ice for too long, as long-term storage will reduce the transformation efficiency. 2. Be gentle when mixing the DNA of interest. 3. Transforming high concentrations of plasmids or high-efficiency ligation products can correspondingly reduce the amount of bacteria that are ultimately used for plating. |
