Description | GT115 strain is an Escherichia coli strain specially used to clone gene sequences containing DNA secondary structures such as hairpin structures or repeat sequences. There is a SbcCD protein complex in E. coli, which can recognize the DNA hairpin structure and excise it; mutating the two genes sbcC and sbcD enhances the stability of the hairpin structure DNA. |
Gene Types | F- mcrA∆ (mrr-hsdRMS-mcrBC) f80lacZDM15∆lacX74 recA1 rpsL (StrR) endA1 ∆dcm uidA (DMluI)::pir-116∆sbcC-sbcD |
Size | 100 µL/vial |
QC result | Transformation efficiency of pUC19 plasmid detection:> 2×108 cfu/μg DNA |
Note | 1. Competent cells should be thawed slowly in ice. Add target DNA within 8 minutes of inserting into ice. Do not keep in ice for too long, as long-term storage will reduce the transformation efficiency. Be gentle when mixing in target DNA. Transform high concentrations. Plasmids or high-efficiency ligation products can correspondingly reduce the amount of bacteria that are ultimately used for plating. 2. This strain has streptomycin resistance, and plasmids with this resistance cannot be used. |
